	Savanna DOB appx 2002, DSH sable mackeral tabby, FIV+ (if you know your stuff you will know this is not a big deal). Savanna is a little skittish until she gets to know you (a few days). She loves being petted and will stick her tongue out while you pet her (HAH), and she will ALSO knead one front paw in midair while you pet her. A very sweet cat who was placed in a home with Alanan (listed on our Cat Adoptions page), and the owner passed away, so they are back in foster care.       Savanna has Stomatitis (mouth disease) so we have had her teeth removed, and she is doing great now. 	Miss Kitty     purebred MUNCHKIN !!!!!!!! Approx 7 years old. What a cutie - she's so low to the ground we want to name her OOMPA-LOOMPA!!!! She is very upset after being dumped at a relative's house and then dumped AGAIN by the relative -- she was left at the county shelter. PAWS got the call about this special girl and picked her up at the shelter the same day. Poor thing. We are trying to get her settled, she is hissy and upset although she is getting better. She has been tested, dewormed, has a new dose of Advantage, and a distemper shot. We are going to find out from the vet what her history is, her age, date of spay, and last rabies shot.      Contact Mona at: [email protected]
	Red Dawn aka RD                10 year old male solid red Persian.  He is a talker. He keeps it up until you start petting him.  On 3/14 we took in 6 Persians who used to be shown when they were younger.  Unfortunately they will need extensive grooming because they have become matted due to the lack of attention in this area.  A fellow that works with feral colonies has been helping a neighbor that has been sick for quite some time with the feeding of her 6 Persian cats. She has since died, but asked him to help find homes for her cats before she passed.  We have more than $800 in vet bills alone just to get the six Persians up to adoptable conditions.  If you would like to donate to their care, feel free to use our Donations Page or any of the PayPal links on our website.    UPDATE:  He has been groomed and is eating now.  We are still trying to fatten up RD a bit before he gets neutered.  He has returned to my house since he has passed the critical point. He is eating quite well. He needed to be able to have space to move around freely to get his coordination back. The first few days he reminded me of a mall walker. He would walk the perimeter of my house over and over. It was so funny to watch. He didn’t' know what to do with himself. Then I would find him crashed in a litter box. That was familiar to him. So I had to gently wipe him down and show him a few other places for him to relax. He really likes my daughter Jasmine. Sometimes he sits outside her room when he hears her voice.    He is much more comfortable getting around now. You can tell his coordination is better. I can even call his name and say " I'm gonna get you" and walk towards him and he will actually skedaddle!  I can carry him around. He just starts purring when you even look at him. He no longer sleeps in the litter box. Yeah!!! He hangs out with the other cats in the foster room that is the warmest. He is sooo good when I comb his fur. He lifts his legs one at a time. I just wish he wasn't so boney still. He has a fat little belly though. It is hard to get a picture of him because he is always moving. His eyes are so large and orange and he closes them when the camera flashes. We will have one soon.
