My name is Mary, I'm a Libra born in October 2005.  I'm a strong independent woman seeking a single family who can appreciate my unique attributes.  I like both women and men but small children are at risk if I'm in one of my "moods".  I would prefer to be your one and only.  Now I can, and currently do, live with other cats but make no mistake if one gets too close I will make my displeasure known.  I enjoy attention, love car rides, and fear nothing.  As long as no one ruffles my feathers I'm a joy to be around.

I was rescued from a high kill shelter on the day I was to be put to sleep.  I was only 8 months old and pregnant at the time.  I earned the name Virgin Mary as my rescuers couldn't ever imagine I would let another cat close enough for a romp in the hay.  Because there are so many cats without homes they decided it was best I be spayed instead of becoming a mom.  That's all in the past and I'm now looking for a permanent place to call home.  I have been in rescue for quite some time now.  I really am a nice cat just probably not the best choice for the inexperience cat owner.  Guaranteed to liven up any household.
