Wazoo is full grown & about 12 pounds. He LOVES attention and canned food too :)


Back in 2008 Wazoo tested negative for Feline Leukemia. In 2009, Wazoo was re-tested for Feline Leukemia. Despite his sister testing negative, he tested positive and was housed afterward with only Feline Leukemia kitties. 

We recently found out (yes in 2014, 5 years later) that some tests can give positives that were false. We re-tested Wazoo and he is negative. We even sent out an IFA test to the lab to check at the cellular level and we also called the Feline Leukemia testing expert at IDEXX (they are the people who make the tests). She suggested one more test, a PCR, and that is to ensure he is not a "carrier" - that was also negative.  She is the top contact for Feline Leukemia testing, we were referred to her by UF Veterinary School.

Wazoo has come out a winner in this one and is playing in the foster room with the other kitties.
