Wally was found roaming near a WalMart. He was so friendly that some nice folks took him in and started looking for his owner. They posted him to several lost pet facebook pages, no one claimed him. So then they started looking for a rescue.

At Wally's specialist appointment Feb 15 it was determined he has either a birth defect or the eye was damaged from an incident when he was very very young. 

Due to the distortion of his vision, we have had some "incidents" where he sees us from that side of his face as a threat - maybe the eye makes us look extremely weird and large(?) - plus his eye seems to change daily from large and bulging to small and squinty, sometimes watery, sometimes red-rimmed, so we had his eye removed May 5. He is doing very well, although he does not like to take his meds!!

Wally plays a bit rough so we do not suggest very young children with him - he has learned the word "no" and is obedient!!!
