Special Needs: They are special needs and we want them to be placed together because the momcat, Olivia, has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Chances are that Honey has it, too...
Feline Leukemia is difficult to transmit but it is still contagious, so they would need a home with other FELV positives, or just to be by themselves. Right now they are in a foster home but isolated in a guest bathroom. FELV will only transmit thru food/water or litterpan. It is not airborne. Actually the virus is very weak, which is why it is difficult to transmit.

Momcat Olivia is a black & white tuxedo who has EXTRA TOES on the front - and she is super sweet. She makes little "humming" noises in her throat when you enter the room!
Note: when we first got these two, the baby was much smaller and we were told it was a boy, so his name was Hunter. That's why in the videos we said "Hunter"...and, since she knew that name, we chose "Honey" because it sounded very similar.
Honey is the daughter, a grey & white tuxedo. She was born about April 20, and unfortunately did not live. This is common among kittens born with Feline Leukemia.
Feline Leukemia is difficult to transmit but it is still contagious, so Olivia needs a home with other FELV positives, or just to be by herself. Right now they are in a foster home but isolated. FELV will only transmit thru food/water or litterpan. It is not airborne. Actually the virus is very weak, which is why it is difficult to transmit.
And, as always, our shelter will do whatever we can to help fundraise for any extreme veterinary costs for one of our foster homes. For Olivia, we will do the same for her adoptive family.
