Poor Flip was found on the side of the road with a severe head injury and in shock. Near death he was dropped off by a good Samaritan at a vet hospital (which happens to be where I work). Although there wasn't much hope efforts to save his life began. Well after a week in the hospital on IVs and meds he survived. However the injury to his head caused detached retinas and permanent blindness. So Flip now lives his life in darkness but is happy to be alive. He gets around ok, uses the litter box every time and does very well. In fact you can barely tell he is sightless. He is great with other cats and is pictured here with another special needs cat Guardian, also pictured on this site and available for adoption. Flip was born in 2007 or early 2008. He currently lives with dogs and does fine but a rambunctious or unfriendly dog wouldn't be in his best interest. He's easy going and not much trouble, loves to sleep in bed with you, and enjoys attention. Nice lap cat.
