DOB appx May 2004. DSH black female, this sweetie tested positive for Feline Leukemia as a kitten, which is very sad because her adoption options are limited.
We are hoping someone who already has FeLV+ cats in their home will adopt one of our FeLV's, because in a shelter environment the average lifespan of a FELV kitty is 1-2 years. In a private home it is much more, around 7-12 years.

Dorie lives in a small FELV enclosure with one other FELV+ cat. They have about 80 SF plus a climber and some shelves.
Dorie has stomatitis, also, and has had mouth surgery; she is on steroids every other day to reduce inflammation in her mouth. Due to steroid use, she is also diabetic, so we feed her diabetic food (no insulin needed yet) and she is stable.
