Description:

This cutie was found on the street. We got a call from a lady in an apartment complex that a young girl was feeding a "starving kitty". She brought us the kitty and wow was this cat thin.

The cat had mange (skin mites, which is easily treatable nowadays for a few pennies), and had a bad case of Stomatitis in her mouth (cureable if caught in time). Cora's case is one of the worst we have ever seen. She required immediate extractions - most of her teeth had to go. Cora then was put on prednisone to keep the inflammation down while her mouth healed.

Cora's health is as good as it will get, now and we are excited because her mouth shows no inflammation - we plan to take her to the vet to confirm. She obviously feels okay because she plays and romps thru the house like a kitten!

She is really a funny one! You see in the picture she's on her back - she does this all the time being silly.

If the vet gives her the "all clear" then Cora will be adoptable. She is incredibly sweet and many adopters have enjoyed watching her romp thru the house while they look at other cats - but now that her mouth looks good maybe it will be HER turn!

Cora can eat kibble despite having no molars - if you have ever cleaned up kitty puke you know they don't REALLY chew it up!

Note: we do give her daily L-Lysine (an amino acid) 500mg which is proven to boost kitty immune systems. The vets also sell this in a gel form, but we get the powder and dose it in her morning canned treat. As you see in the pictures, her left eye will get a little "winky" when the weather changes, etc, just like we do and we take vitamin C...she would need her L-Lysine.
