DOB (best guess) June 2006. We just pulled this guy, he was going to be killed on 9/11 at a county facility. We found out about him from the following email text and our hearts just went out to him:

This very sweet kitty, Spencer, has been in the shelter for almost 14 days with many walking by and looking but, no one willing to take him. He is a real sweet, loving cat and really deserves to live, not die.

Spencer may not be the "stunning, handsome boy" that all of us feel the need to pull because they get adopted very quickly but, nonetheless he really deserves to live. Spencer has seen many little kittens (and several cats) come in, be his roommates (adjoining cages) and all of them leave with rescue or individuals....but, his fate is soon to be determined because his time has expired.

I'm sure he has thought many times, "why isn't someone opening my cage door and saying to me...."come on baby, this is your lucky day....never again will you have to worry about love, food or shelter". Come with me and feel the love and protection we offer"....

But, time and time again...many passed by him while he was dancing and talking -- you know, being "showboat".... nothing he has done has worked!

You see, Spencer dies tomorrow, 9/11 without your help!! No one, no animal should lose their lives forcefully on such a memorable day....

Please open your heart to him and find a little corner...
everyone at the shelter just loves him...Spencer is very easy to handle and hangs on you when you hold him.

Spencer needs to her the words...."Come on sweet boy, this is your lucky day"!!

This just broke our hearts and we arranged the 150-mile transport! Imagine our surprise that he is an American Shorthair mix. Wow! Spencer is here and what a sweetie! He loves to talk and be cuddled! He is headed to the vet 9/21 for his shots, test and neuter.Contact: Mona at meowmail1@yahoo.com
