Description:

Crystal was found on the street 10 years after she was adopted, and is back in foster care. Due to her being a senior, we did the expensive senior panel with bloodwork, urinalysis, with a full exam by our vet, plus updated her shots. She has borderline thyroid issues, so is on a very low dose of meds each day, which she eats easily with a little canned food. Crystal is one of those who does not squat in the litterpan, so she needs a pan with a lid.  Crystal is fine with other cats. Her favorite toy is still the wand with mylar fringe LOL.

We have noticed that some of our affiliate websites (like Petfinder, etc) have her listed as a "young cat". We don't know why they are doing that, because she is a senior. Unfortunately we have no control over what the affiliate websites say about our cats' ages.

Below was her kitten description and it has a lot of good history for her, so we are leaving this detail for her potential new family to read all about her!

DOB appx June 19, 2010.  DSH tortie point siamese-mix, spayed female. She has beautiful blue eyes and the cutest little beige tip at the end of her tail - that's rare among siamese mixes, we have only seen that one other time!

She has gorgeous blue eyes which of course turn red with the camera flash if you snap a picture with her looking right at the camera. That's why she has the red-eye in the pictures!!

This little girl was the runt of the litter. They were born on the street to a stray momcat (who is now fixed).  Crystal had an inquinal (groin) hernia so the vet wanted to fix the hernia at the same time as the spay (one surgery instead of two) so we waited for Crystal to grow a little more because the surgery will take more time. So we held her back, all her brothers and sisters were adopted. She is now spayed and her hernia is fixed!

She is used to dogs, loves to be petted and actually will stay to be petted instead of running off to play :)

Her favorite toy is the wand with the mylar fringe. She is used to me cleaning the litterpans with one hand and waving the toy around for her with the other!  So she sits by the litterpan waiting to play morning and nite!  If she's not in the room, we have a "routine" where I say, "Gee, what is THIS?" and wave the mylar wand around in the air, she hears it and comes running!!!

Crystal knows her name and adores attention. She also likes to be with other kitties, she cuddles with them on the bed or couch or kitty climber.

She also will dance around your hand (you just leave your hand draped) and she will pet herself by running around your hand and brushing against it. She will do this endlessly :)

Crystal is OK being picked up if you hold her away from your body and face her away from you. She does not like to be snuggled tight or confined. When traveling she has a cute little meow and makes it known she is not fond of being in a carrier!!  Luckily she does not howl like some siamese do!
