Description:

How lucky can a Mom cat get?  Animal lover Katherine went to her cabin on the Swanee River to secure her pontoon boat for the upcoming storm.  Noticing the cover was not laying flat, she took a closer look and found a Mom cat with her 4 babies tucked in safely.  That Mom kitty picked the right boat!  Katherine has already rescued countless cats where people let them roam freely and multiply unnecessarily.  Thanks to Katherine, Mom and kittens are now inside with plenty of food, blankets, toys and security until they go to a forever home. Born approximately August 25th, the kittens are growing each day.  Two have been adopted.  The two boys want very much to be adopted together so they have each other for life.  Please fill out an application to be considered for adoption.

Kittens personalities are being formed daily.  Both can be rambunctious and play together. Sammie seems to be a little shy but learns to trust quickly.  Julius is the first to check out any new toy. Together they make a handsome pair.

PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 yrs or so). Applications for single kittens will not be considered, and due to the number of kittens in 2021* we will not be able to respond if you request a single kitten only.

*due to COVID & lack of spay/neuter in 2020, rescues are slammed with 2021 kittens.

Here is why we adopt in pairs -- this is the best article we have found to explain:
