PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 yrs or so). Applications for single kittens will not be considered, and due to the number of kittens in 2021* we will not be able to respond if you request a single kitten only.

*due to COVID & lack of spay/neuter in 2020, rescues are slammed with 2021 kittens.

HERE IS THE BIO FOR "RALPHIE":

Ralphie was trapped at a feral colony with his siblings. Our foster mom who tames kittens took all of them.... Ralphie tamed up nicely so we are working to get him used to things indoors like kitchens, tv's dishwashers, children, dogs, etc.

Here is an update from his foster mom who also has his sister Randi:

Ralphie is that little brother who delighted in tormenting you, and then conveniently disappearing when you tattled on him. He is fearless about stretching his jumping abilities, and already an accomplished acrobat when the wand is swinging. He likes attention and doesn't mind being picked up and held, but so far he's not exactly a lap kitty. On the other hand, he loves to stalk my desk (and keyboard) when I'm working, and will sometimes choose an office cubby close by to take a half-nap and be close to me. At night he will sleep close, visiting several times during the night to canoodle and purr.

Randi is the lover; she likes to canoodle and even if she doesn't spend the night in my room, almost every day she makes it a point to climb up to my neck and nuzzle my ears and purr into my hair. She will sniff all around and make bread on my shoulders; once she made bread on my scalp and it gave me goose bumps! Last night she perched quietly on my shoulder while I worked in front of the computer. The wand wins with her, too; easily their favorite toy. They both like the mylar balls and anything else that is crinkly, like wadded-up paper.

They are both reasonably well-behaved; if there are open shelves just be sure there isn't anything breakable on them. I trust them enough to allow them to spend the night in my room. They are both beginning to learn the meaning of the word "NO," and are usually pretty quick to pick up on the infrequent times I have to scold them.

They have now discovered "kitty TV" on YouTube. Ralphie went NUTS: he tried to "catch" the birds, mice and other assorted small things; when the birds flew away or the other animals exited the video frame, he was SURE they were behind the monitor - so of course he had to investigate! He couldn't figure out where they went! Randi seemed more interested in the SOUNDS; her head swiveled back and forth between the speakers, and then she would get distracted by whatever was on the screen.

The adoption process typically goes as follows:
- you submit an application
- foster mom reviews, and will contact you by email
- upon approval, foster mom will coordinate an adoption location/time.... or your deposit to hold young kittens
- foster mom will email, call or text to coach as needed to help integrate your new kitty
