Description:

Gabby is from a litter of kittens who were living on the back porch of a really nice family. They were not handled by humans and it is taking us time to socialize them. They are playing and adapting slowly.

All of them are probably going to be medium-fur, so that’s a warning for those OCD folks – they may shed too much for you.

They have flea control and have been wormed but have not been tested yet for Feline leukemia. Their mom is very feral so she will be tested when spayed and her test will cover the kittens. They were born on the enclosed porch so were never exposed to any other cat.

The kittens also need first shot series started, which will be in another few days. As you see in the photos they are a bit crouched and unsure, so we are working with them daily. They must be exposed to radio, TV, phones, running water, flushing toilets, washing machines, dryers, all the things that we tune out are new sounds and can be very scary.

We have not introduced dogs or children. Thus they are marked on the site as “no” for each until we get them far enough along in their confidence to try this introduction.

They must be placed in pairs or with another young cat. See below. More pics coming soon!!

PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 years old, or so).

Here is why -- this is the best article we have found to explain:  http://meowcatrescue.org/resources/articles/12/single-kitten-syndrome/

If you are interested in adopting, please go to www.pawsfla.com and click on the Adoption Policy menu, from there you will find the online application link.

The adoption process typically goes as follows:
- you submit an application
- foster mom reviews, and will contact you by email
- upon approval, foster mom will coordinate an adoption location/time.... or your deposit to hold young kittens
- foster mom will email, call or text to coach as needed to help integrate your new kitty
