Description:

This cutie was on the street in a neighborhood. A nice family noticed him from the time he was very young. He had the run of the neighborhood and is extremely friendly ... she contacted us and we agreed to take him. We can tell he was indoors at some point because he's not afraid of anything so far!!! We habe him arounfd a gentle older dog & he is cautious but fine.

He is a lapcat too, see pictures!!!

Nicky is a gorgeous grey classic tabby (classics are rare) with white front feet & back toes.

He's fixed.... and we tested him for feline leukemia / fiv, and he is negative, he is fixed and he has his shots, flea meds, and wormer.

Nicky LOVES LOVES LOVES to be carried around the house. He just purrs up a storm when someone is holding him. He is very gentle and would be great for kids. He is also extremely curious, loves checking out any open closet and being up high on the shelf in any space....typical kitty!!

He is very big for his age - 7+ pounds and still has his kitten canines. So we are watching for the adult canines to start coming in, this occurs typically at 5 & 1/2 months. This way we can more accurately figure a date of birth for him. Since he's just 5'ish months old, he should only weigh 5 pounds.... we think he will be a large, lanky guy when full grown.

PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 years old, or so).

Here is why -- this is the best article we have found to explain:  http://meowcatrescue.org/resources/articles/12/single-kitten-syndrome/

If you are interested in adopting, please go to www.pawsfla.com and click on the Adoption Policy menu, from there you will find the online application link.

The adoption process typically goes as follows:
- you submit an application
- foster mom reviews, and will contact you by email
- upon approval, foster mom will coordinate an adoption location/time.... or your deposit to hold young kittens
- foster mom will email, call or text to coach as needed to help integrate your new kitty
