Description:
This sweetie was given to a stranger and the owner said it was short-term. She tried a number of times to reach the owner but could not, so after 4 months the lady gave up.... and sought out a no-kill rescue for this senior girl.
The kitty's original name was Ginger, the lady who had her 4 months called her Susan. We are calling her Ginger as it is more familiar for her.
Lucky for us, a note on the records showed she had previously gone to Coastal Animal Hospital. So we called them and they had a little bit of info for us. We also found a magnet in one of the cubbyholes of her crate for The Cat Doctor, and we called.... and they had seen the cat many times, so that filled in much of the medical history back to 2009.
We did a fundraiser to cover her senior bloodwork. We were told this kitty was 7 years old, and we have found out she is 11 years old! Here is her fundraiser link: https://www.gofundme.com/gingers-senior-bloodwork
Her bloodwork is completely normal ... she's as healthy as can be.
Ginger is still settling into foster care, she is kept in a quiet guest bathroom by herself until she adjusts. We'll get some more pictures soon...
