Purrs And Whiskers Shelter (PAWS), Inc. PAWS is a non-profit 501 (c) 3, all-volunteer organization.
We are dedicated to helping cats and kittens through rescue, foster, and adoption activities. We find loving homes for unwanted,
abandoned, homeless, or abused cats and kittens. Most of our volunteers work full time in addition to helping PAWS!! Please
see our Special Needs Cats area, our volunteers are AMAZING!
Since our inception
in 2000, we have found loving, caring homes for over 2000 cats/kittens. We finished out the end of 2008 with 2008 adoptions
done (how's that for ironic). We usually adopt cats every Saturday at a local pet store (locations vary). Call our adoption
hotline at 321-752-5120 to find out “where” we will be on Saturday. We have wonderful cats and kittens of all
colors, shapes, sizes, and ages. Each of our felines has had all their medical requirements tended to --- we work with
several veterinarians that ensure this.

Other than adoption fees, which do
not cover the full costs of most of the animals we have vetted, our ONLY source of funding is from the donations we receive
from caring people like you. We are not government-funded. If you would like to donate money, please use the "Donations"
page or use any of the "PayPal Donate" or "Donation Form" links on our site. If you would prefer to donate
supplies or in another way, take a look at our "Events & Fundraisers" page. Every little bit helps!!
Since we only have 8-12 cages at our adoption events, our foster
moms have to plan which cats are coming every Saturday (we have to alternate because the cats get tired of sitting in a cage
all day, especially the adults who get overlooked too often). If you have a specific cat or kitten you want to see,
email the foster mom and ask for that cat to be sent the next Saturday!
Thank you!
