Caroline

I'm a little on the unsocialized side, so the PAWS foster mom has decided to keep me since I'm comfortable in her house.

WC

WC was born to a Maine Coon mom cat named Marcia. WC was named after his White Chin -- he was the only black&white; tux in the litter whose chin was white! He found a super home, his new mom still keeps us posted!

Abby

Abby was found near the IcePlex in Rockledge, and was brought to us as a juvenile. She had a previously broken (and healed on its own) rear leg, she is FIV+, and is super sweet. She now has a fabulous home near the beach, and is named Giselle, and is VERY MUCH larger now than she was in this picture!

Ace

Ace's mom and he were dumped out in Satellite Beach when their (terrible) owner had to move and could not find a home for them. His mom was already pregnant again, and a nice neighbor brought Ace and his pregnant mom to PAWS. Ace's new family were surprised to see him in PetSmart because he looks exactly like the cat they had just lost. His adoptive mom started crying while she was filling out the paperwork, she was so happy to find him. He is now named Lucky and has a superior home.

Belle

Belle was found in the BellSouth Cocoa location, thus her name! She has beautiful calico-like markings, with medium-lenghth fur, and she had one kitten (Graham of course). Both Belle and Graham were tame, and were taken in by PAWS so they wouldn't have to live in a feral colony. Belle got a GREAT home with a nice nurse in Melbourne, and her son.

Kitty

This is a little male cream and blue kitten we rescued from a trailer park, there were 7 kittens and the mom cat had already given birth to an unknown number of litters. PAWS found all 7 kittens homes within 3 weeks, and fixed the "mom" and "dad" cats so this wouldn't happen again!!!

Buddy

Buddy, a young adult male, was rescued from where he was dumped out near a feral cat colony in Port Orange. Buddy was tame, so was brought into foster care and found a super home!!

Calico

These two tri-color females were rescued from the Port of Cape Canaveral, where people consistently dump cats (this is not a smart thing to do). These two were tamed and found homes.

CC

CC is short for Chocolate Chip! She and her brother were identical so we called them the Chocolate Chips. Several foster moms tried to work with CC but she would not tame down to live in a home and be a lapcat. She eventually was fixed, and went to a HUGE barn home on 15 acres, with several other feral friends! She has a blast climbing in the rafters of the barn, and sitting in the hayloft -- we've seen her pictures -- she really likes it!

Chaz

Chaz is a success story - he came from a feral colony, was tamed by a very patient foster mom, and was adopted by a patient and loving family who knew he would need more socialization to become a true lapcat.

Duey

I'm WC's brother, our mom was Marcia, the maine coon female. We all got fabulous homes!

Kirk

MIssy

"am i cute" (that's what she is saying) - she and her sister were brought to paws and found homes really fast because they were super-outgoing kittens!

Ozzie

Skunkie

I got a great home with a young woman who is a full time student. I will be very well behaved in her apartment! Her family loves me too, I get to visit my "grandparents" on holidays with my student-mom.

Sofia

Sofia was very hard for her foster mom to give up - what a special little kitty! And what super coloring -- a tri-color classic tabby (torbie). Wow, I'm a LOOKER!

Sofie

I was bottle -raised because my litter was found in a dumpster. Our foster mom, Lois, does a great job with the bottle babies, and we turn out so sweet! I got a great home, PAWS is really good at finding us all homes :)

Tonie

I'm a little shy because I was born to a feral colony and tamed/raised by one human. I've been socialized more though, and am used to more humans now. I'm a great boy, and I'm BIG!

Trixie

The PAWS foster mom just got a call from Trixie's mom, after a year and a half! Trixie is doing great, her family just relocated into a nice home with a fenced backyard, and got Trixie a companion cat, plus a puppy. All animals are fine and enjoy supervised trips into the fenced backyard.

Terrence

I have a huge success story. I was at the local county shelter in the "kill" room, and the local no-kill groups (SCFN, PAWS) came in and grabbed everyone (yay). Mona took me in, I was very sick, and she was trying to get me well. Then she gets a phone call out of the blue, from a lady in Miami who ends up being my original owner...and now I'm back with her...what a happy ending for me!!!

Dinah

I just got a fabulous home, as I'm a fabulous kitty! I was in the "kill" room at the shelter, too, and thanks to PAWS I've got a new life!

Esther

PAWS still hears from my new mom occasionally, with pictures, etc. I've really fit in at my new home, just like I deserved!

Fritz

I got a barn home with Ranger - we are gonna have a blast! (we liked to spray in the house too much so our foster mom found us a nice 20-acre place to romp on)

Candy

My foster mom fell in love with me, so I got a permanent home...and I really like it here, too!!!

Calvin

Moonstar

My foster family fell in love with me -- and that was IT! I had a great new home! :)

Dee

I got a new home on my second trip to PetSmart! And I'm an adult too! My new mom was really moved by my story - I had a broken sacrum (hip area) and was pregnant, but the broken hip wouldn't allow the babies to be born (per the vet). So I went through an emergency spay and 8 weeks of confinement without jumping, while my hip healed. I'm fine and went for adoption, and found a SUPER home. I love other cats (my new home has another cat) so everything will be great, I just know it!

George

George is a SUPER cat. As you can see here, he doesn't mind being around any other cat at all! He is a bobtail, medium haired, and so sweet. You can even rub his tummy! He was adopted with a kitten so he will enjoy having companionship! We're looking forward to hearing all about his new home when we follow up on his recent adoption. :)

Prissy

I am the absolute sweetest 14-year old cat! My original owner gave me up due to baby's allergies (I was 13). I got a new home with a senior citizen in assisted living and we are VERY happy! PAWS just got a call from my new owner who is ecstatic. She also thinks I'm a Korat breed due to my luminious green eyes and my silvery coat (I know I'm beautiful -- hah).

Van

I was found where the foster mom named "Mona" works, in Orlando. I got caught in her feral cat trap, and she took me home and figured out I was tame. I had a little bit of a time getting used to other cats, but soon was running around the porch like all the big juveniles. I got a great home!

Quinn

I got a fabulous home with an older lady who had just lost her precious cat. She loves me very much, and I'm the cuddliest, so it's a match made in heaven!!!

Jiggly

I got a great home with an elderly lady who had just lost her companion cat. She loves me! (PAWS saved me from SACC / Eau Gallie kill room - thanks PAWS!)

Ashley

Moby

Our mom was feral, and was trapped to nurse our litter, then she was fixed and returned to her colony. We were all tame by then so we got great homes! My siblings are Hudson, Shane, and Kira.

Hudson

HAHA I'm soooo cute the PAWS foster mom couldn't give me up! She kept me for herself!! (How many does this make, Karen?)

Rio

Riley

See my one white toe? I am a VERY active kitten, who needed a VERY active home, and I got one!! My foster mom made SURE it was a good match! Everyone's happy :)

Ruski

Ruby

Pooh

Alani

I went to a tamer, and still was so skittish I had to be released back into a feral colony. I'm happier there, though, without all those humans wanting to touch me -- ugh!

Tabitha

Boots

I was found in a residential area, I was in pretty good shape but hungry! PAWS got the call and I was so nice I found a home very very quickly!

Cerebra

I got a FABULOUS home with Penny, the orange DMH tux. I'll pull her out of her shell - not much fazes me!!

Audrey

I got a new home with my brother Graydy. We are nice kittens who were born in a feral colony, and PAWS took time to get us tame and a new home (off the street).

Sylvia

Oh boy! I got the greatest home ever! The lady couldn't make up her mind, and she finally picked ME! (she's very lucky)

Demetria (additional picture)

My new mom visited PAWS to adopt another kitten, and fell in love with me, too, so she took us both to our new home! :)

Emmy

I'm Oscar's sister (see below for our story)

Oscar (on left)

We were intercepted by a no kill rescue person outside the county shelter, thank goodness! We were younger than 5 weeks so we would have probably been killed that day by the county shelter. PAWS fostered us, and we went together to a wonderful new home! (we're much bigger than this now though- haha)

Kira

My cat mom was a feral in Melbourne, FL, and she was trapped and nursed us until we weaned. She was fixed and returned to the colony, we were tame so we have all found great homes!!! My brothers are Shane, Hudson, and Moby.

Pebbles

My adoptive mom has been waiting for WEEKS for me to be old enough to adopt! She came to pick me up and also fell in love with Demetria, so we BOTH get to have a new "forever" home!!

Ayla

I got a home with my cousin Carlton. We are happily not in a feral colony anymore! We're fixed and well taken care of!

Bella

I came from a feral colony in Cocoa. My foster mom thought there was hope for taming me, so after I got over a cold, she sent me to a tamer. I was tamed and adopted! I'm a real success story!!

Carlton

Ayla and I went to our new home together! I'm more of a snuggler than she is, but that's ok, the lady loves us both!!!

Ritz

I came from a feral colony...they had tamed me up and PAWS placed me in no time flat! I'm gorgeous, aren't I?

Polly

I've found a wonderful home! I will be with another cat who has been alone so keep your paws crossed that she will accept me! (sure she will - I'm too cute)

BC

BC stands for BearCub because I am a fuzzy little guy and looked like a baby cub when I would romp around the foster area. I was in a high-kill county shelter, and PAWS took me in. Now I have found a fabulous home!

Alysa

Alexander

I'm so sweet my foster mom kept me! Hah!

Pauline

I was living in a feral colony, and the nice lady there tamed me, so that PAWS could adopt me out. I am very sweet and found a "forever" home the first time I went to PetSmart!

Helen

I'm a TRUE SUCCESS STORY! I was born to a feral colony, and I was feral, too! My foster mom started taming me at age 7 weeks. Then she sent me to another tamer, who worked with me for a month, and you would never know I was a wild child! I'm so beautiful, especially my green crossed eyes! I got a home on my third trip to PetSmart!!!

Graydy

Wow, I got a home with my sister, Audrey (see above). We are so glad we don't have to live on the street anymore :).

Fannie

Sammie

Spunky

I was too wild to tame, so I am fixed and back with my feral mom in a residential colony. I'm happier there!

Whiskers

Whiskers was given up by his owners at one of the county shelters. He was due to be killed so a local no-kill rescue person grabbed him and we have found him a great new home! He will really like his new mom - we think she's great!

Vanessa

I'm so special my foster parents have fallen in love with me and are adopting me!!!

Colleen

I just got the most AWESOME home today. This is a family who adopted another kitten from PAWS a couple of months ago, and wanted to get him (Tigger) a playmate. Within 5 hours of taking me home, Tigger and I were all over the place, playing together! What a FUN new home :).

Alicia

Once again, you hear the story of "the foster mom fell in love...". Well, here we go again! :)

Gremmie

My owner died, and PAWS took in me, Mai Ling (below, age 19), and Spookie, age 8. Spookie hasn't found a home yet, but Mai Ling (age 19 - wow) and I have (I'm only 4).

Rustie

I've got a GREAT home with a young man and his mom. They call my foster mom, Mona, and let her know how I'm doing (Mona really likes that). They already took me to the vet and have my final appointment soon!

Pongo

9/18/03 - I just got the most PURRRFECT home you can ever imagine! I hissed at the dogs (effectively too) and the other cat ran under the bed -- so now I get all the attention (HAH). My mom loves me already! Latest update: my new mom took me to the vet, and they love me too!

Rafael

I'm Pongo's cousin or possibly brother. His new family took to him so much that another family member just HAD to have another one of us!! So I got a GREAT home!!

Tallulah

I got a GREAT home with a nice lady and her two teenage daughters -- I'm the only cat so I'll be the QUEEN BEE!!! :)

SweetiePie

I'm such a nice girl! I found a home on my first trip to PetSmart!

Grey Tabby Male

I was called "Robinson" because I liked to explore as a young kitten!

Ellen

Mackenzie

I'm a beautiful DMH torbie tux. I found a home my first weekend at PetSmart!!!

Michaela

I got a great home on my third trip to PetSmart. I'm so beautiful, that's why! One blue eye and one gold eye - gets 'em every time :)

Boi

Tux

I got a fabulous home with someone who was looking for just the right kitty for a long time! I'm all settled in now!

Perry

I got a home the first time I went to PetSmart! They renamed me Percy, and I like my new name!

Tina (Mackenzie's litter)

I am the SOLE SURVIVOR of my litter! PAWS was very upset that all my siblings (6 of them) didn't make it, but there were some birth defects deep inside, according to the vet. I'm doing great and my family loves me very much! My mom says when my human-brothers come home from school I'm waiting for them, and if they don't speak to me I get very upset. So she makes sure they speak to me every day after school!

Suzie

Wow! I was going to be killed at a local shelter on 10/09, PAWS took me in, and I got a wonderful home with Robert & Carolyn on 10/10 -- yay! I'm alive and well in Melbourne with my new dog companion!!

Bria

Brian

I got a home with Vivian, we have a very similar disposition -- we're very people-friendly, and there are lots of young children in our new home, so we had to be gentle and sweet. We ARE!!

Venus

I am one of the sweetest torties PAWS has ever fostered. I'm a bobtail so am extra special (the manx gene) and friendly. My new owners and my foster mom were old co-workers, and were surprised to see each other at PetSmart, and I ended up going home with my foster mom's friends. Funny how that worked out! I have a great place to live, a porch with all that a cat could want, and lots of other cats (did my foster mom mention that I am a "drop in" -- I get along immediately with all cats).

Ranger (additional picture)

I got a GREAT barn home with another kitty -- we get to live outside and hunt mice and lizards. We are on a 20+acre spread - yayyy!

Rani

I got a great home with a family in Melbourne - they love me!!

Remy

Rhett

Oreo

What a super home I got. I'll be top cat with a visiting cat every once in awhile (that's okay). My new mom is young and pretty, and fell in love with me at PetSmart! My new mom also got me a new kitten to play with, her name is Lily (PAWS had named her Safi, see her picture below). We are buds now! My mom sends the PAWS foster mom updated pictures all the time of us!!

Cindy

My foster mom fell in love with me, and I get to stay! Yay!

Justin

Jasmine

Bandie

Francis

Todd

Vivian

What a spectacular, outgoing girl I am! I love attention, and definintely have Maine Coon in me, despite not having a long coat. I trill in my throat, and am very people-oriented. I got a home with Brian, who has a very similar disposition. My new family LOVES ME!

Alfalfa

Geena

Gabriel

My family really loves me and I love them too. I sleep with my new dad or sometimes I like to sleep with my new best friend the Pomie.

Skippy Jr.

Skippy's family had to move and couldn't take her. She was originally adopted thru PAWS, so she was returned to PAWS and found a home very quickly -- she's a very nice girl!

Vanetta

I got a home with my brother, Screech! He was the runt of our litter, and cried alot, thus his name...I was more mature the whole time (uh huh)

Sweetheart

My new mom came by the PAWS booth in August 2004 and told PAWS how GREAT I AM...(I knew this)...and how much they LOVE ME!

Corey

Cory was turned in at a local shelter where they were going to immediately kill him for being exposed to a fungus. His sister got it but he didn't. He was adopted 6 days later! Who cares about a stupid fungus, anyway???

Silver

We were turned in at a local shelter where they were going to immediately kill us because we had been exposed to a fungus. PAWS wouldn't do that so they came and rescued us! I was sooo sweet and gorgeous I got a home FAST.

Topaz and Fonzie

We were turned in at a local shelter where they were going to immediately kill us because we had been exposed to a fungus. A FUNGUS! What kind of looney reason is THAT to kill a couple of kittens? That's what PAWS said, too, when they picked us up! We found a home together within 6 days, and we don't have the fungus at all! Thanks PAWS!!!

TYLER

TOBI

TRISH

TROY

Fredrica

I got the absolutely BEST home. My new owners had done TONS of research (did you know only 10% of flame point siamese cats are female???) and they were extremely concerned about how to introduce me to their existing kitty. They knew all about Nutro food, and were very thorough with questions and made sure I was the right cat for them!!! That's the kind of good, loving home I need....I am gonna love it at my new home!

LeeLoo

I came from a high kill county shelter, a spayed/declawed purebred Himy! I very quickly got a great home in Orlando, thru the Siamese Rescue website. Thanks, no-kill rescues!

No name yet

i got placed so fast no one had time to give me a name - i'm so beautiful you can see why i got a home so fast :)

Tootsie

Catria

My new family loves me very much!

Casio

I got a great home with a lady who loves Maine Coon mix cats! See my beautiful fur? She'll help me keep it groomed!

Camille

Bailey

I got to be a Christmas surprise for an 8-year-old boy - what a super stocking stuffer I am!

Wade

I was a Christmas surprise too, just like my brother Bailey!

Screech

I got a home with my sister, Vanetta! I'm glad we got to stay together, after all we've been through! We were dumped at a high-kill shelter, and were going to be killed due to our age (under 6 weeks). PAWS heard and stepped in to take the "litter of 6 white kittens".

Odessa

Samson

Boy do I have a special story. I was abandoned at the local kill shelter, my litter had 6 kittens. We were put in the kill room immediately, because we were only 5 weeks old, and they automatically kill anything that young. PAWS got the call and agreed to take us! (yay for us!) 4 of us were white, and I was the only deaf one. Alot of people liked me, but not a deaf kitten, they kept saying. Then, my foster mom gets an email from the most AMAZING family she's worked with in a long time! They are from Niceville, FL (panhandle - 8 hour drive!!!) and they fell in love with me and my sister Vanna. And guess what! Yep, they took us both, despite our fungus still needing treatment, and we were also at the tail end of an upper respiratory. Did this daunt our new family??? Nope. They didn't even hesitate. They knew we would get better faster at their house than to stay in a shelter environment. So, off we went to Niceville! Boy, do we have it made, or WHAT!?!???

Theo

I was a bottle baby taken from the high-kill Cox Road / Cocoa shelter (I would have been killed there because of my age). PAWS took me and bottle fed me, and I am the sweetest guy! PAWS found me a great home, too...

Reggie

I got a superb home where I will be the one and only cat!

Jovanna

I got a FABULOUS home. My foster mom is thrilled (so am I because I really bonded with my new mom, right there at PetSmart).

Justine

Jason

My sister Justine & I got a really good home with a very nice lady. The best part is that we got to stay together.

Vanna

Samson and I got a home together -- PLEASE read our success story under Samson's picture -- we got a home all the way on the other side of the state - the panhandle! Wow!

Samson's twin brothers

Hah! We are sooooo smart. We really schmoozed with our foster mom, Karen, and her husband John, so they are keeping us (yeah!!)

Eric

I got a wonderful home and am the ONLY CAT which is very important to me!!

E-Pass

I've had two new homes since I was found on the 408. Each home returned me due to my litterbox (or shall we say "non-litterbox" attitude!). If I don't get enough attention, I will let my owners know! My new owners are retired, so I should get every morsel of attention I need (and I'll be using the pan, then....)

Shiloh

I have a wonderful new home waiting on me...I came down with that stupid fungus, so my foster mom is treating me, and my new mom is waiting for the "all clear". Thanks, PAWS for saving me from a high-kill private shelter.

Boo

My brother Punkin and I were dumped at the local kill shelter in Cocoa (on Cox Road). We were going to be killed 8 days later (see how fast that happened, uh huh...) and PAWS stepped in to save us! We went to a new home and got to stay together! Yayyy!

Punkin

Linus

Reese

I got a home on my first trip to PetSmart (not surprising to me, I know I'm beautiful). Also I got a friend, Percy (kitten below) at my new home, too!

Madison

Leigh

No sooner did my picture go up on the PAWS site, than my foster mom started getting email from a nice lady who wanted me. Her application was approved, so now I just have to get spayed, and then I can go to my new home! Yayy!

Update: I got spayed, and went to my new home! My new mom was soooo excited to finally pick me up!!

Melina

Aren't I cute?!! Well, I just got the greatest home today! I am going to have another (older) kitten to play with, he is lonesome and biting his owners (which means he's bored to tears and has no playmate). My new owners took me even though I need 6 more days of medication for my cold (my new playmate already had a cold, so he won't get it). I'll be soooo happy in my new home! Thanks, PAWS!!!

Percy

I went to a wonderful new home, along with Reese the gorgeous snowshoe. Do you see I have very little tail - I have a "stubbie" - about 3 vertebrae in my tail - I wag it and it's so cute!

Willow

Spooky

I found a wonderful home in Palm Bay. My foster mom still talks to them every once in awhile just to check up on me!

Mikey

Mia

I got a great home on my 3rd trip to PetSmart! I'll have a couple of dogs to play with, and a little boy, and an at-home mom, so I'll be busy!!!

Abigail

I was very shy,but my new Mom had faith in me. After two months, I am queen of the house and I even play chase with the dog. (Of course, I like it better when I'm the one doing the chasing). My new family thinks I am great, including the dog!! You see, even us shy guys can make great pets if you give us a chance!!

Belle Star

Marvin

My foster mom forgot to get a picture of me before I got adopted - she wanted a picture from the back because I have some really original markings....there are white squiggly lines on the back of each leg, from the back of my feet to my tummy, looks like my "seams" are crooked. It's cute!

Parker

I got a GREAT home in a barn, catching mice. I love being outdoors!

Mitch

Devon

My foster mom is in loooovveee with me so I get to stay put! Yayyyy!!

Taz

Morrison

Ramshaw and I ended up in a home together - we're doing great!

Ramshaw

I got a great home with Morrison, who was also pulled from the Cox Road kill room. I'm a super friendly kitty with lots of personality and a very unique coat!

Weebles

I am a handicaped kitten. I fall down a lot and have trouble with coordination but my foster mom fell in love with me big time anyway. I am a little retarded but soooo sweet that she can't imagine letting me go anywhere. She thinks I am so special she even adopted my brother Webster too because I love him.

Webster

Jared and Jerry

We both found very special homes with families who understand we came from a feral colony and will take some time to socialize and "tame up". We sure are lucky!!

Tomato

It took a really special person to adopt me - I have diabetes insipidus - my body doesn't know when to stop making urine. So I need 2 shots a day (timing doesn't matter on the shots which makes it easier). Anyway I love dogs and sometimes male cats challenge me and female cats beat me up -- so PAWS really had their work cut out to find me a home! Well a home found me...a nice lady needed a companion cat for her dog...and the lady isn't afraid of giving shots...so off I went to my new home! Yayy!

Christopher

JayJay

I'm so cute, I found a home in 3 days flat! Thanks, PAWS :)

Ashley

Zoli and I are soooo happy. PAWS matched us up with a new owner (PAWS was very selective, too). We got to stay at our original owner's house because we're very sensitive and at age 9 it would be more difficult to go into foster. Our new home is GREAT and we are so happy!

Zoli

Ashley and I are very content with our new home! PAWS found a winner for us - and close enough so our previous mom can visit, too!!

Flame

Barbie

Emily

I was too shy to be adopted into a family home, so I went to a Sanctuary with lots of other cats and I love it here.

Goldie

I'm a special needs kitten. I was born with brain damage and I'm visually impared. I got a great home and now I have a new brother who is also blind. We are best friends now and we play with each other and cuddle together all the time.

Cindy

I got a super home with one of my foster mom's co-workers. She can check up on me ANYTIME (but really she has no worries about my new home). My new mom and dad are super-duper folks!

Cole (aka Carbonie)

My original owner died, leaving me and 4 other female cats behind. I got a GREAT new home! My foster mom is very happy for me, because I'm a great cat - friendly and super sweet.

Arthur

I got a GREAT home. I am not used to being outside a cage, and I don't like being picked up, and believe it or not, I don't know how to play....BUT in spite of all that, a nice lady from St. Augustine (!) came and adopted me, and will spend the time with me to make me comfortable in her home. Yayyy!

Marley

Douglas

Boy do I have a story. I was found wandering in an apartment complex. It's not ever hard to find me, I'm extremely vocal and LOUD too, nope, nosiree, no sweet little meow from me. I'M LOUD. My foster mom said I sound like the AFLAK DUCK. (she called me the Aflak Doug). Well, my foster mom Mona had to buy extra Excedrin until I learned my kitty manners. She thinks I was taken from my mom too early and bottle fed, thus not socialized with cats correctly. I made multiple mistakes, which mommy-Mona had to correct. I got regular spankings and time-outs until I got it almost right. On my 3rd trip to PetSmart (foster mom had a raring headache by the time we got there - I'm good at that in the car)...well, this was my magic trip. Lots of people (as usual) paid attention to me because I'm exceedingly outgoing. Well, here comes the right family and BINGO I have a new home. My foster mom Mona made sure she coached them about not getting another cat, and how I already know the word "NO". She showed them the best litterpan and litter, and the best food (Nutro). And the best toy - yay! I'm all set! (and they have Mona's phone number just in case...)

Janis

I was pulled from Cox Road by a nice lady named Janice. I was very petite and for awhile everyone thought I was a kitten - until they realized I'm full grown and going to be this size forever! Hah! I found a nice quiet home via PAWS and PetSmart!

Natalie

Henry and Butterscotch (additional pic)

Henry (tabby) got a great home! Butterscotch did too, 1 week later :)

Truman

Boy, oh boy, am I ever a lucky fellow. My owner passed away, and the family knew about PAWS, so I didn't have to go to the county shelter. Then, 2 days later, PAWS found me a wonderful home!!! Holy cow! This is great!

Marissa (aka Mama)

I was a neighborhood stray who was fixed by the county (thus my slight eartip). I got dumped at the shelter just a little while after that, the neighbors were sick of seeing so many cats outside. So it was my lucky day when PAWS took me in. I am so sweet, I took care of all the kittens in the foster room, and I love attention, so I was easy to place.

Stick

I got a GREAT home with the nicest family! I am a wonderful cat so it's a good match!

Rally

Wow what a story I have. I was found nearly dead from dehydration on US1 in Melbourne. Lucky for me it was a clinic Sunday at the Eau Gallie shelter, which means a no-kill group was there (fixing feral cats). The vet tech, Tina, took me in and hydrated me, and from there on out, I improved by leaps and bounds. I had a broken leg, mange, and an upper respiratory infection. Tina took me to Mona, and Mona got my leg fixed (pinned, not amputated, we went the expensive route). I found a GREAT home where they changed my name to Riley (as in Life of...). I'm happy as a clam now because I have Smithers to play with (yes they came and got me a buddy when my play got too rough for those thin-skinned humans). I'm a happy boy!

Nancie

(Nancie on left, Nemo on right) We got a home together - yay!! We're Henry's siblings, and we all found homes the same day at PetSmart!!

Nemo

Mae

I was a neighborhood stray and had a litter of kittens (see Stephanie, Sephora, and Seth below). PAWS took me in and got us homes -- I'm extra special because some nice folks in Ft Lauderdale area drove up to get me - Maine Coons are rare down that way! Lucky me!

Magic

I was pulled from the Cox Road shelter, I'm a young Maine Coon mix, and super nice. I found a home very quickly!

Jeffrey - SPECIAL NEEDS

Boy oh boy did all the foster moms fall in love with me! Mona wanted to keep me, but Krista's children wanted me too, so Mona agreed to adopt to Krista, Kyle, and Scott. I'm a super kitty, and I love attention, and I will just lay there like a ragdoll if you pet me!

Misty Blue

I've had a tough time! My original owners dumped me, so the neighbor took me in. Her cat beat me up all the time, so I got adopted from PAWS. Then my new owner passed away suddenly (just 3 months later) and PAWS took me in again! So, I found my new home already and I'm happy again!

Ross

My brother Rudy and I got to go to our new home together! Yayyy! (What nice people we have now)

Rudy

Sephora

Hah! Our foster mom kept all 3 of us - she wanted 2 kittens but couldn't decide who not to keep...me, Stephanie, and Seth! Yayy!

Stephanie

Seth (in back of picture)

We were ALL adopted by our foster mom. Hah!

Hex

My litter and cousins were born to a pair of calico sisters who were abandoned, pregnant too. A neighbor took them in and let them have their 11 kittens! That's me and my cousins! We all (but one) have homes now.

Garrett

I am a true rescue - a nice lady rescued me and my siblings, plus my mom from a feral cat colony where she works. She found PAWS and they fostered us and found me a home! And what's the best is Chaucer, my brother, and I went to a new home together! Aren't we cute!!!

Chaucer (pictured on left)

There's Chaucer and Garrett - their mom was in a feral colony and was pulled out by a very nice lady, the kittens were given to PAWS, and Chaucer and Garrett found a home together! Yayyy!

Mischief (on right in picture)

Bunny (on right in picture)

Yay! Marble and I got a home together!

3 kittens in taming school

we were born to a feral mom cat in port st john. we were tamed by a new foster mom for paws, and we were all successes, and we found homes - yay! thanks paws!

Gus

Voila!

I was in the kill room at Cox Road, and PAWS came and got me. Now I just got the greatest home. My new family almost - almost (!) picked a teeny weeny kitten, but they decided on me (I must be pretty special, huh?). Thanks, PAWS!

Bubba

I had to have a front leg amputated because of a tumor, and my new mom thinks I'm wonderful!

Hannah was our mom - our litter is Keno, Kynton, Safi, Jessamyn, and Fricena. We all got fabulous homes!

Safi

I got a GREAT home with a family who also adopted Oreo from PAWS last year (see Oreo above). I'm already his best buddy!

Jessamyn

I got a kitty cold so have to wait before I go to my new home, only one week to go!!!

Kynton

Fricena

I got a great home with a nice couple near Sebastian, and their other cats. I'm gonna be very happy!

PAWS has heard from my new home and they say they love me alot! PAWS and I are very happy!

Tissie

I came from Cox Road where a nice worker saved me from the kill room. She fostered me for PAWS and on my first trip to PetSmart I got a GREAT home! August 2004 - my nice home stopped by the PAWS booth to brag about me the other day! They want another PAWS kitty...imagine THAT!

Shiloh

I was pulled out of a trailer park in Dec 2003, fixed, placed, and dumped at a kill shelter when the lady who adopted me decided just a few days later she didn't want me anymore! (she didn't even read on the no-kill contract to return me to the no-kill folks). PAWS bailed me out of the kill shelter, and I got another home, then they had to move?!?!?! What is THIS?? Can't take the cat with you? Since when? Well, so PAWS again took me in and found me the BEST HOME YET (in my case I can say that, right?) Thanks, PAWS

I got a great home with a lady who, with Mona, worked to piece together what all antibiotics I'd been on and pursued my problem of recurring URI with the vet. Come to find out I had bartonella, a flea-derived blood infection. I'm fine now!

Armand

Hah. Our story is great. Our cat-mom is Anita, who got pregnant with us way too early in life (she was only about 4 months old at the time). When she first had us it was okay, but when we got about 4 weeks old, we were taken off her because she was still so small and trying to nurse us...we're doing great and me and my sister Abria were picked to go to another foster home. The nice lady there has a cat (from PAWS 2 years ago) who was getting bored all day (new work schedule caused more hours alone for the cat). So we were brought in to see how the cat would react to new kittens - he loves us, so we both get to stay! Yayyy!

Muriel

Everyone went nuts over me. My coat color was hard to catch in the picture - I'm a little modest too so it was doubly hard to take my picture! My coat is a reddish-brown, and I have medium hair, and I'm SPOTTED. Not small spots, but larger spots like a Bengal. Anyway, I'm very sweet and PAWS had an easy time of placing me!

Melinda

Megan and I got to go to a home together! Yayy!

Megan

Megan got to go to the same home her sister Melinda did - wow they got to stay together! (they were pulled from a high-kill county shelter because they were sick)

Stretch (available) and Smythe (adopted)

Stretch is now adopted by someone who had adopted from Mona in the past (almost 4 years ago - wow)!

I was pulled by PAWS from Cox Road kill room. (my lucky day). My sister Starry and I have found good homes!

Beauty

I was dumped at Cox Road by my owner and was picked up by PAWS (Due to my slight eartip, which identifies me as a colony cat). PAWS had a heck of a time figuring out which food didn't upset my tummy (wouldn't you know it was Nutro that worked for me). My new owners love me alot and say I wasn't even shy at their house. :)

Gilligan

I was named Gilligan because I was found on an uninhabited island off the coast of Merritt Island, luckily a man took his dog there to run one day and there I was, hungry and thirsty. I was already neutered and declawed and PAWS took me in to get my shots and tests done. I was very friendly and got along fine with all other cats. I checked out fine at the vet, and found a home on my first trip to PetSmart!

Nestle

Mickey (left) and Minnie (right)

We're Nestle's kittens. We were taken in by a nice couple who saw Nestle nursing us outside by their trashcans. We were easy to place because we are so nice! (and cute...) Mickey got to go home with Wilman. Minnie got to go home with Sneaker, who was from another litter.

Wilman

I'm one of Nestle's kittens...I was a born to a neighborhood stray and taken in by a nice family who made SURE they got us to a no-kill group after we weaned. I got to go to a home with Andrea...she's fun!

Laverne & Shirley

Andrea

I was found in Orlando under a truck tire in a business parking lot! No one knew where I came from but a nice man (Matt) grabbed me and got me to a no-kill group (PAWS), who found me a great home!

Captain

Our litter (snicker, sneaker and me) was found in a gutter in rockledge with a can of cat food - but we were too young to eat it we were only 3 weeks old! paws got the urgent call and took us in, and my foster mom said i was a gem! i got a home at petsmart with a previous adopter so my foster mom knew the guy and the cat that was already in his home. we're a true success story!

I was found in a feral colony in Port St John, with a bunch of other feral kittens all ages (unweaned and weaned). We were all hissy and spitty and very very sick. Space Coast Feline Network and PAWS took us in, and I got better really fast. I got a home the first time I went to PetSmart, with a great family and a young girl who I know will play with me all the time!

Bunnyish

Evader

my litter was born in a trailer park - bunnyish and miracle are my sisters. we were very sick and taken to the kill shelter, where they asked paws to take us because we were going to be killed. my foster family named me evader because i learned to disappear at medicine time ha ha. (i'm smart) we are all better and i have my new home - boy is this great!

Charlie

DOB appx Sept 2003 DSH black neutered and front declawed male. Was found 2nd week of June in a downtown Cocoa business parking lot with a broken leg. Leg could not be set as the break was weeks old, so we had to amputate. This is one of the nicest cats and he doesn't even miss his rear leg - he and the other young adults have a great time wrestling around on the floor! His amputation was expensive, so if you can donate toward the cost it will help us alot! This cat is SO nice he found a home within 3 hours of his first visit to PetSmart -- and with only 3 legs!

I was pregnant and they were going to kill me! A nice worker there took me home and my kittens were due any day...so I had them. Thunder

I was going to be taken to Cox Road (oh no!) but a nice lady talked the man into taking me to Mona's when he couldn't keep me anymore (he had horrible asthma, and pet hair wasn't doing him any good even though I hardly shed). So PAWS took me (and my sister Lightning), and we fit right in at the foster home...and PAWS realized that my sister and I don't really hang out together all that much, so they put me up for adoption at PetSmart, and away I went to a fabulous home where I get all the attention for MYSELF.

WOW did I get the best EVER home! The people live in an apt so PAWS had to verify with the apt office that it was okay for them to have me. So we had to all WAIT until the apt office was open (sigh!). The new owners hardly slept a wink they were so excited the night before! I've got a GREAT HOME!

Tiger

I was an "outdoor" kitty at an apartment complex and my original owners decided I was too much trouble (they hadn't even fixed me or got me any shots). Hmmm how is throwing out some food "too much trouble"??? So PAWS took me in, and fattened me up a bit! I got a home really FAST with a great family!

Sofie

DOB appx June-July 2003. DMH black, we are pretty sure she is a Norwegian Forest Cat mix. She was abandoned by her family after they dropped a couch on her head and left her unconscious for 3 days (that's what we were told at the vet). She was given to a "friend of a friend" who worked at a vet, to see if she would live. Obviously the owners didn't want her back. The vet asked around for rescues to take her. She is brain damaged enough from the concussion to be conidered special needs. She is fine with other cats. Sophie is very sweet and loves to play. She does not like to be groomed, and will not groom herself, so we would take her to the vet for a lion cut every summer (she loves the freedom from that double coat). Due to these challenges, it was very unlikely Sofie would ever be placed into a private home. She would be living in a foster room for the rest of her life. Then, in Feb 2006, a very nice couple wanted to adopt Sofie! Emails flew back and forth as the adoption day loomed closer! Then came the big day - Sofie went home! We are sure everything will go perfectly well, and Sofie will love her new home! :)

I am very shy because I was tamed from a feral colony. The people who adopted me also adopted Lailla and Beau. They wanted to take one of the more "harder to adopt" cats so PAWS told them I would be hard to adopt because I'm skittish (most people don't have the patience to work to gain trust of a scared cat).
