Description: This sweet kitten was found on the street. The lady who found her says: I have been around and have owned cats my whole life, and I can honestly say she is the most affectionate cat ever! She also is very talkative and loves to play and snuggle.
Mocha has tested positive for Feline Leukemia, however we have found this is not a horrible death sentence. Many cats do very well and live 10-12 years (normal lifespan). The foster mom is keeping her separate from other (negative) cats becuase the disease can pass (it is hard to pass but it still can) by sharing food / water and litterpans.
The foster mom is giving the kitten alot of vitamins, because sometimes they can fight off the virus and be negative. The vet appointment for the re-test is April 24. Fingers and paws crossed! (she is spayed and the test is sent out, we will know results April 30) -- the results came back negative which is a HUGE win! we have several applications and will be choosing one soon. Mocha is fostered in West Palm Beach so we will have to get her to Brevard....
