Miracle
DOB appx March or April 2004. DSH tortie who was rescued at 4 weeks, she had a terrible headcold! As she got older, we gave her an herbal remedy that drew the toxins out of her system! She is fine now, and loves to be with you as you clean the litterpan! She either licks your hands or toes, or bumps her head against yours as you bend toward the litterpan. We greet her each morning with "It's a Miirrraaacle!!!" and she loves it. Miracle is "fixed", tested, has her shots, wormed...here is her latest picture, as you can see she has plumped out nicely! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Shamu SPECIAL NEEDS!
DOB appx 2002, DSH b/w neutered male with left eartip. He was dumped at a kill shelter. He is very sweet, we are not sure about his age. We think he was a neighborhood stray. He is OK with other cats. Shamu is "fixed", tested, has shots, has been wormed. Shamu has loud breathing - he "snores" almost constantly. He also had a hernia that cost $165 to fix (it looked like he was kicked). His nasal condition is on file with Dr. Tom Smith, who did the rhinoscope procedure on 8/24/06, all that showed so far is consistent swelling of the inner nasal area above his palate. The swabs were diagnosed with bacteria. Dr. Smith's procedure cost over $500. Donations toward Shamu's care are very welcome and much needed! The outcome from Dr. Smith's was inconclusive, so the only thing the vet can do is remove his molars which are possibly keeping his upper palate inflamed and his teeth look bad so that is probably where the bacteria is coming from. His surgery on 9/20/06 at Coastal Animal Hospital was successful and he is doing very well. Please put "Shamu" on your check, it's tax deductible, and thanks! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Eva & Jessie
Est DOB 10/17/06, DSH black tabby smoked tux (Jessie) & DSH dark gray tabby smoked tux (Eva). Both spayed females, all vaccines done, dewormed & defleaed. Although these 2 girls were born outdoors, you will be amazed at how sweet & friendly they are. They didn't mind being turned into indoor cats at all & love all the toys they have ! Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Jet - SPECIAL NEEDS
DOB appx 4/12/02. DMH black Maine Coon mix. He is brain damaged and requires a very special needs home. He purrs immediately when touched by a human. Jet had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia and died during surgery. His brain was without oxygen, so he is now brain damaged. Jet can walk, run, meow, feed himself, use the litterpan, groom, and lap water.Jet can figure out how to navigate a new room within a very few minutes. Jet can also climb (not jump) onto the bed. He "walks off" the edge of the bed (not jumps) a bit ungracefully, but unharmed!!! As of now, Jet cannot fully see, or fully hear. His left ear has 30% hearing, and he has some peripheral vision in each eye, and some forward vision in his right eye. He has recently been "helping" wrap holiday gifts - he loves interaction of any kind! Especially interesting noiseslike; tissue or wrapping paper, tape, crinkly bows, etc. What fun! Jet reacts defensively when he encounters another cat, and other cats do not tolerate him well (other cats can "sense" he is needy, which is not considered a survival trait in the animal kingdom). Jet has been on herbal treatments to try and heal more of his brain function. Donations are very much appreciated for Jet's ongoing care. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Nunn - Special Needs
DOB appx June 2004, DMH torbie spayed female. Nunn's mom and siblings were from a county shelter where they were going to be killed; PAWS took them when the kittens were 1 week old. They all came down with the shelter "cold" (upper respiratory) and the kittens had to be tube fed because the mom cat was not interested in nursing them. Of the six kittens, only two survived after weaning. Mom cat got a great home and so did Nunn's sibling. Nunn has lingering drippy eyes and we think lymphomic plasma cell stomatitis (LPS). Donations are welcome toward Nunn's care. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Mickey Mouth
DOB appx Jan 2006, DSH black & white neutered male. This is the funniest cat! He has something to say almost every time you walk in the room. Thus his name! Mickey was pulled from the Eau Gallie shelter when they were running out of room in the adoption area. Very sweet, vocal (!), and ok with other cats. Mickey has very interesting markings, on his right side the shape of his black markings is at a 30 degree angle, low at the front, high at the back, and is scallopped. That's a first! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Alanan
DOB 2004, DSH spayed tortoiseshell tabby tuxedo (wow that's a mouthful....). Alanan had a great home then the owner passed away, so she is back in foster care. She is a little shy for a day or so around strangers, then she's fine. OK with other cats. She had been adopted with Savanna, now they are both back. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Savanna
DOB appx 2002, DSH sable mackeral tabby, FIV+ (if you know your stuff you will know this is not a big deal). Savanna is a little skittish until she gets to know you (a few days). She loves being petted and will stick her tongue out while you pet her (HAH), and she will ALSO knead one front paw in midair while you pet her. A very sweet cat who was placed in a home with Alanan, and the owner passed away, so they are back in foster care. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Aunt Bea
DOB appx Feb 2004, DSH black and white tux, was pregnant and a great mom PLUS a surrogate mom to 2 motherless kittens. Bea is ok with large dogs. She loves affection and gets along great with other cats. Since her kittens were weaned and placed, and she got spayed, she has filled out very nicely. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Roscoe
DOB appx 4/15/05. DSH orange classic/white neutered male. Roscoe and his sister were seen falling out of a trash truck at the dump in Cocoa. Roscoe loves attention. He loves to play even more! Gets along with all other cats, needs a young, playful cat buddy, this is a MUST! He is curious and wants to always be where the "action" is. Roscoe has been around a dog and was not even fazed. He has been to the vet for his left eye, the tear duct looks to be closed since birth so his left eye is watery but there is no infection. He is ready to go to his new home (yes we will send his current eyedrops with him!) The drops cost about $50 every 4 months. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Pile-o-fosters!!!
Look - who do we have here? Seymour, Wanda, Charles, Callahan, Panama, I think the kitty bed is full! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Wanda - Seymour - Charles
Whew! This time there's enough room for all! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Mookie
Est DOB 11/1/03. Spayed female, DSH Black/white "moo-cow" kitty, very petite. Sweet little Mookie was born in Titusville to Patches & lived in a very small colony taken care of by an elderly lady. Mookie has adjusted well to indoor living & needs to be with another cat(s). She spent a weekend at a friend's & looked in a mirror all weekend long wondering why she couldn't get the other kitty to rub heads with her. She's a very sweet little thing that loves to be pet. Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Melissa
DMH spayed female Calico Manx. Sweet Melissa was abandoned at a popular dump site for unwanted cats in Rockledge & shortly after that, her caregiver passed away. She was trapped along with about 24 other cats, many of whom were tame, but had simply been thrown away by uncaring pet owners. Melissa's gorgeous green eyes, sweetness & little meow convinced her foster mom to adopt her out & not relocate her to another outdoor area. She has not been acclimated to her foster mom's home due to limited space; but has been cared for in a confined area away from roaming outdoor cats. We're confident she will adjust to indoor living very quickly ! Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Orangeade
DOB appx Jan 2007, DSH orange mackeral tabby, neutered male. Was found dumped by the side of the road near some woods with another cat. He is very sweet and is adjusting nicely to the other cats, not much fazes this boy, he is easy to introduce to other cats. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Tessa
DOB appx Dec 2006, DSH calico (actually patch tabby) spayed female. This little girl got pregnant at age 3-4 months (her first heat) and was a mom weeks later, and then was dumped by her owners. She surely deserves a good home after this last one. All this before she was even a year old! This year there haven't been many calicos so this one will go fast. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Phoebe
DOB appx Sept 2006, DSH creme and blue tuxedo, spayed female (momcat). Phoebe was found dumped with (we think) two separate litters of hers, on Friday the 13th. She was very thin and we have been fattening her up! She's a very sweet cat, and extremely petite. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Deco
DOB appx June 2006 (best guess), DSH black & white spayed female, with left eartip (this means she was living on the street). Deco was turned in at the animal shelter, and because she tested FIV+ she was going to be put to sleep. FIV isn't a big deal, we have lots of vets, foster moms, and previous adopters who agree. See the Cornell University website for more info. Deco is very loving and sweet, and has interesting markings. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Pinkie
DOB appx 8/1/06, DSH - DMH white neutered male with a smudge on his forehead. Has blue eyes. Super sweet, loves to be held, just purrs up a storm. OK with other cats, has been around huge dogs, birds, squirrels, has seen horses and chickens out the window! (dunno what he thought about THAT!) In November 2006, Pinkie was unable to walk on his back legs (he was about 12 weeks old). Six different vets were seen, 2 orthopedic vets (ortho xrays were $400!).

Each vet office had a different diagnosis, and PAWS made a decision to wait because he was still growing. His foster mom did t-touch therapy and he was walking 5 weeks later. He started jumping again about March 1, 2007. Pinkie’s rear leg muscles (his haunches) still look different and not as “built up” as other cats’.

Pinkie has had no problems now in 1-1/2 years with his back legs. They are still weaker than his front, and he gets around fine.

Pinkie occasionally stretches out like you see in the picture, we think to keep his hips limber.

Due to his back legs Pinkie will not go to adoption events where he would be in a small cage, as we don't want him to have to scrunch up for 7 hours. If you are interested in Pinkie, private arrangements can be made.

Donations toward Pinkie's vet bills are greatly appreciated (and tax deductible!). Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Pinkie - silly picture
You've heard of the Cat in the Hat...well now we have the Cat in the Basket (in the Window)...what a silly kitty!

When we get a pic like this we just HAVE to share!! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Lola
DOB appx April 2007. DSH silvery mackeral tabby, and a tuxedo too! Spayed Female. Lola is a very sweet girl who likes to curl up next to you and nap whenever she can. She has the prettiest gold round eyes! She is very quiet and only meows when she really needs your attention. Lola does great with other cats and okay with a HUGE mastiff / great dane PUPPY!! (talk about ENERGY, 150 pounds of it). Contact Michelle at : mskorzewski3@gmail.com

Lola (second pic)
Here you can see her beautiful markings - and yes, she's zonked! (probably from watching that puppy.) Contact Michelle at : mskorzewski3@gmail.com

Milana
DOB appx Jan 2006. DSH black and white spayed female. Look at these markings! Wow! She's a very sweet gal, very social and enjoys being loved on by whoever will indulge her. She does okay with other cats but prefers humans to cats. She isn’t fond of the dog (a Great Dane/Mastiff PUPPY) but does okay with him. She really is a true lap cat. Contact Michelle at : mskorzewski3@gmail.com

Rudy
DOB appx Aug 2005, DSH Bengal mix brown mackeral tabby. Rudy was born to a stray that is a beautiful Bengal mix. We got Mom fixed and a home and now its Rudy’s turn! He is very social and outgoing and so very Handsome with his gold eyes and striking markings. Quite vocal and so very sweet. Gets along very well with other cats and tolerates the 150-pound puppy. Even lets his foster mom dress him up in a tie! Contact Michelle at : mskorzewski3@gmail.com

Travers
DOB appx April 2007, DSH black & white neutered male. Travers is a very funny little guy. He is very, very treat/food motivated (as you may tell from his size!) and loves attention. He rarely meows and only does so if he needs another treat! Does great with other cats and okay with the Great Dane/Mastiff 150-pound puppy! Contact Michelle at : mskorzewski3@gmail.com

Travers (second pic)
A picture of "Travers Claws" (yeah his foster mom dresses him funny)! Contact Michelle at : mskorzewski3@gmail.com

Popeye
DOB appx 2007, DMH Maine coon mix neutered male. Missing left eye, that's why we named him Popeye. A very nice cat who was picked up by Animal Control on the street and no one claimed him. His time was up, he was on the kill list. He does have a left eartip which means he was an unowned cat when he was fixed.

Popeye did go to the eye specialist (Dr. Strubbe) who said the eye is fine the way it is, as long as it isn't getting irritated. We have not had any problem with that, and he's been here 2 weeks in the foster room with litter dust from more than 8 pans, and 20 cats shedding, so obviously his eye will be okay. Unless someone just wants to have it closed permanently, then a vet will do that. Popeye gets along great with other cats. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Jet - new haircut!
Here's a new picture of Jet. We just had him trimmed in a Lion Cut because he does not groom (he is blind, deaf, and brain damaged). He gets this trim twice a year. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Deco - new & improved pic
Here's a much better pic of this little girl. She sure has come out of her shell now! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Ladybelle
DOB appx feb 2002, DSH grey and white spayed female. This is one of our foster favorites, a little skittish but a very nice kitty. She came from a stray population with her "cousins" Spot and Haley. OK with other cats and has just had extensive dental surgery done to remove bad teeth. She now has no teeth (just like Haley) and is doing much better. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Haley
DOB appx Feb 2002, possibly “cousin” to Ladybelle and Spot, DSH grey tux with white mustache, spayed female. Sweet and just a bit shy. Has been around other cats and children. Haley is "fixed", tested, has her shots, wormed... This kitty is one of my husband’s favorites. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Lila
DOB appx 2006, DSH shiny black coat! Gorgeous spayed female. Lila was found dumped on the street in the same place as Collier was, with the same kind of injury. (hmmm)

Lila is still healing, she had a cut under her armpit so those take awhile to fully knit. She was hungry and scared, now she has filled out and looks like a completely different cat! Gets along fine with other cats, she has an easygoing personality. She loves attention so it is really hard to get a picture of her, she is constantly walking toward the human holding the camera! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Lila - 2nd pic
Here she is again. Look at that glossy, jet black coat! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Sweetie
Est DOB 7/15/06, DSH Brown tabby, Spayed female. This little girl's former owner was going to be evicted & she was going to be left behind to be cared for by neighbors. She was just TOO SWEET (hence her name). She's eartipped; but don't let that fool you. I can guarantee you haven't run across a cat this wonderful & loving in a very, very long time ! Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Patches
Est DOB 11/1/02, DSH Black/white spayed female. This sweet mama's former owner went into a nursing home & the next lady to care for her thought she was feral. So now she's eartipped, but definitely not feral (wild). She's a very polite, sweet kitty & is mama to Mookie. She & Mookie would love to go to a new home together :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Shadow
Est DOB 8/3/07, DSH Silver/black tabby tuxedo, spayed female. Born under a trailer in Cape Canaveral, this is one gorgeous kitty with piercing copper eyes. She recently changed foster homes & is ready for her forever home. Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Candi
Est DOB 10/6/07, DSH Siamese mix, spayed female. Left on the doorstep of her foster mom with a smashed/mangled foot, this little girl has been thru a lot & is currently still recovering from her first foot surgery. She will be having more of her foot/leg amputated in the near future & should recover 100% as a 3-1/2 legged little girl. This type of rescued kitty is always so very sweet & grateful when they find someone to love & care for them. She's not ready yet ... but you can "reserve" her today :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Teddy
Est DOB 5/6/07, Brown tabby tuxedo, neutered male. This is one BIG boy. He was originally found living in the outdoor enclosure at his foster mom's home as a tiny little kitten. He moved to another foster home that had kittens his age for him to play with. He recently came back to his original foster mom & has turned out to be quite the handsome loverboy. Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

BeBe
Est DOB 9/25/07, DSH White with black spayed female. BeBe was rescued from the County's North animal shelter along with 4 kittens. Shortly after that, she took on 2 new kittens that needed a stepmom & nursed them & cared for them as if they were her own. She's still got a bit of a "mommy" attitude & would do best as an only cat or in a home with only 2 or 3 cats ... at least until those mommy hormones dissipate :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Cassie
Est DOB 7/4/00, DLH Persian/Siamese/Tortie mix, spayed female. Apparently unable to care for her anymore, her previous owner left her at the County's north shelter in a fancy purse-type carrier. Her fur was a mess; but thanks to Kelli Jo, she now has a "lion" cut ... all her fur will grow back & she will be beautiful again. She's a senior kitty & would make a wonderful companion for anyone (seniors especially). She is very friendly with people; but don't know about dogs or other cats just yet. Although she hasn't hissed at any of the other fosters from her private condo. This is her before-the-lion-cut picture. Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Abbey
Est DOB 12/4/03; DSH Brown/silver tabby, spayed female. Abbey was in a coma when originally rescued. She was saved thanks to Miss Mona's devotion to helping sick kitties. She is a very loving cat and likes to give hugs. Scooter is her brother. Her emerald green eyes will melt your heart :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Jersey
DOB appx 9/1/07. DSH black & white neutered male. A momcat dropped a litter off in the back of a pick up truck. A PAWS foster mom took this litter in and caught the mom so the kittens could finish nursing. Even so, Jersey is very much like a bottle baby. He's very curious and sometimes walks through the house talking! The tabby kittens, Sterling and Filigree have already been adopted. Jersey gets along with dogs as well. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Jersey
Here he is, playing... Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Brandy
DOB appx Aug. 2007, DMH Maine Coon mix spayed female. Brandy was found on the street, hungry and being chased by other cats from the food bowl at a feral colony. She's very sweet and loves having food available all the time!!

We are working with Brandy to see how she is with other cats, her recent experience being chased has made her a little defensive. She is slowly accepting the other foster cats. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Ambrosia
Est DOB 7/12/07, DMH Gray/white Turkish Angora mix, spayed female. Abandoned in Winter Park & picked up by folks & drove to Brevard County. They walked all over PetSmart with her & told us they were going to breed her. That just wasn't going to happen & her new foster mom followed them all over the store (yes I guess you could call it stalking) until they just told her to take her. She's a real looker & sweetheart. Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Fosters at Mona's...
Hi all - guess what this is? This is the day (Sept 7) we got a new shipment of catnip toys, and the fosters all gathered around to enjoy! LOL. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Winter
Est DOB 2/1/08, DSH White spayed female (1 blue eye & 1 greene eye). This gorgeous sweetheart was living with a homeless lady in Pt. St. John. When her foster mom started helping the homeless lady out with cat food for all the cats she fed, the homeless lady asked her to find Winter a better home. She would make a wonderful new family addition to your home :) Contact Darlene at : Dbeach39@aol.com

Louis
DOB appx 2006, DSH brown classic tabby & white; neutered male. This is a very sweet guy who was found on the street by a very nice lady. She took him to the emergency clinic because his left ear had a huge cut behind it all the way down and around to his throat. There's no telling what happened to him...anyway he is getting much better now and is a very friendly cat.

Louis is fine with other cats and plays with the kittens. He is FIV+ and is not aggressive, so will do well because he is passive --even if other cats pick a fight he walks off!!!

Louis is very gentle when playing with the kittens, see the video of him and Wocka!!

We call Louis our "bodyguard"...he is with me wherever I go, waiting outside the door, the shower, etc. LOL Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Charlie
DOB 2005, DSH brown mackeral tabby neutered male. Charlie was adopted as a kitten, and was just returned 3 years later due to allergies. He is very sweet, sibling to Whisper.

Charlie has handsome green eyes and is a little shy at first, but settles in just fine. We think he would do best in a quiet household (older children) with a couple of laid-back cats and/or a quiet dog. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Charlie - 2nd pic
After a day of lizard watching, he's worn out! LOL Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Whisper
DOB 2005, DSH brown tabby neutered male with beautiful gold eyes. This nice cat was adopted with his sibling, Charlie, back in 2005. The adopter had allergies and returned them both after 3 years.

Whisper adjusted to shelter life again very quickly, and loves to be petted at adoption events. He's our "greeter" in the foster room. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Whisper - 2nd pic
Whisper is a BIG cat so bringing him to an adoption event is quite the ordeal, his carrier is HEAVY!! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Kinobi
DOB appx 5/26/07, DSH black and white male. These kittens were found at a Melbourne apt/condo area where maintenance had been directed to take them to the county shelter. They were BOTTLE fed by PAWS from 10 days old. So they are extra sweet!

Kinobi is very loving & likes to sleep in your lap or on the back of the couch. Very sweet & likes tummy rubs and his ears massaged!

Kinobi (and his sister Tizzi) were returned at age 1 year, due to owner's allergies.

Kinobi is not quite as "in your face" as his sister Tizzi, he loves to play and he's friendly. As kittens they were fostered with dogs and young children. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Julian
DOB (best guess) 2005 or 2006. DSH brown tabby & white neutered male. This is the sweetest cat...If all cats were this nice, then every cat would definitely be adopted.

Here's his story! Julian was living on the street and was brought to a feral/stray cat spay/neuter clinic. He was fixed and vaccinated (and eartipped for a life on the street).

The volunteers noticed he had skin mites, and some eye inflammation, so one of the PAWS foster moms agreed to take him and treat him.

Come to find out he is the sweetest and loves to hug your neck when you pick him up (he does love to knead too!). His skin mites are all gone, he has filled out, and his eye is completely better.

He gets along great with the foster kitties. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Julian - 2nd pic
Here he is again. Julian does have a case of chin acne so needs Stridex pads! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Junior
Est DOB 8/1/07. Brown/black tabby, neutered male. This handsome fellow originally came from a high-kill shelter in Putnam County. He was fostered in Cape Canaveral & lived with his first family for almost a year in Malabar. Unfortunately, someone thought that their speakers were more valuable than their pet cats, so the cats had to go. He has lived for the past year with Sadie. He is quite the talker & lover :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Sadie
Est DOB 8/3/07. Silver/gray tabby tuxedo, spayed female. Born under a trailer in Cape Canaveral, this little girl has grown up to be quite the "looker." She has lived with Junior for the past year & they were recently returned because of 1 incident involving an audio speaker. They are wonderful cats & did not deserve to lose their home. Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Junior & Sadie
Doing their favorite thing :) Watching late night movies ... or possibly Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Arthur
DOB appx 2007, DSH brown mackeral tabby neutered male. He was given up by his owners due to allergies, and PAWS pulled him from the Eau Gallie shelter as he was getting cage sour and his attitude would soon show that, and then he would be put to sleep. So he's here now even though we really don't have room! Let's get him a home soon! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Arthur - 2nd pic
What a nice cat! He's checking things out in the bathroom we have him and Stormy in together -no other rooms are available! (they didn't know each other before, they do now!) Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Happy Toes
Est DOB 3/19/08, DSH black neutered male. Long story on this little guy. He was stalked by his foster mom when smaller as he was living at a horrible intersection in Titusville with a plastic ring stuck around his neck. Took almost 3 months to finally catch him. In the interim, he also lost sight in one eye due to an injury of some kind. He can get along just fine with his other pretty golden/green eye. He was eartipped because we thought he was feral; we couldn't have been anymore wrong :) He is a real sweetheart & took about 1 hour to adjust to his new play buddies. As for his name ... you'll see as soon as you meet him :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Mooky
DOB 9/01/2007 Female - Spayed DSH black & white. A Mom cat dropped a litter off in the back of a pick up and a PAWS foster mom took me in and caught my mom so we could finish nursing. I actually like dogs! Cat Description Contact Lynn at : bluemoonwolf@earthlink.net

Holly

She is a beautiful blue Lynx Point Siamese mix. She has faint spots on her sides and bright blue eyes! She is very affectionate. We are waiting for her to finish weaning her little ones so we can get her spayed and adopted. She should be ready mid October. Contact Lynn at : bluemoonwolf@earthlink.net

Sky
DOB appx 2005, DMH white spayed female. Sky was found in a carrier on top of a volunteer's car in her driveway. There was a note on the carrier saying the owner could no longer take care of her, and that she is fixed and also deaf.

Leaving an animal like this without permission is called "dumping" and is illegal. If the person is caught this is a misdemeanor and the person can be fined.

Sky is a very nice cat. She does not get on the furniture, and is not used to being picked up. She also does not scratch the furniture, she is a well behaved girl. The foster home she is in does not allow pets so we need to find her a home fast. She is not around any other animals right now so we don't know how she will act. The person who dumped her did not give us any clues on her previous home, or vet records. Without this history we have to send her to the vet for all shots again. In the pictures you can see her gorgeous tail and coat.

Sky just had her vet check and we have found out she needs a dental, so we need donations for this, so her poor mouth will feel better! Thank you! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Gaston
DOB appx May 2007 DSH solid grey, neutered male. Looks like a Russian Blue mix - he even has the burgundy toe pads!! Gaston is fully vetted, vaccinated, tested...wormed...

He was found dumped outside an apartment complex (with his siblings). They were brought into foster care and it was clear they had been in a home previously - they were not scared of anything!!

Gaston was a bit more timid than the others, so we took extra time to work with him. He is now re-socialized to a home, he loves tummy rubs, gets along great with other cats. Really gets into watching the pet-sitter DVD!!

If you rub his tummy he will follow you around the house for more!!

We always say "his" poem while we pet him -- it goes like this: Rub my belly, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!

Elijah
DOB appx June 2006, very young adult DSH brown mackeral tabby. He was living on the street and picked up by animal control. He is very sweet if a little hesitant as if he remembers being chased off, while living on the street. We keep calling his name and reassuring him so he has learned humans can be ok to approach. Now his trust in humans is rebuilt, we are so glad.

We found he walks like his pelvis was possibly broken at one time, so we took him in for xrays. During the exam the vet found Elijah has a severe case of Stomatitis in his mouth.

This is a new disease and has the vets stumped. Research is ongoing; at this point all we can do is treat the symptoms and keep Elijah as comfortable as possible.

Due to the stomatitis, Elijah is a special needs cat. He is posted on our website so people are aware of his disease and the need for donations toward his ongoing care. Stomatitis is a very expensive disease and there is no test to tell whether a cat will get it or not. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Tortiegirl
DOB appx May 2007. DSH tortie tuxedo with white on her nose. Was found on the side of the road with Orangeade, and they seemed to be the same age. We had them in the same cage until they could go to the vet, and they were nice to each other so we figured they were from the same home.

Tortiegirl tested very light positive for Feline Leukemia, and was later tested negative with a special test done at the local hospital lab (PCR test). She had to be caged due to the potential for spreading the virus, so we were very careful until we had official results. Orangeade was tested multiple times and was negative every time.

Tortiegirl is a bit timid but loooovvveeess to be petted. She knows her name and sometimes talks to you!! Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Because she is a little timid, she was scared of the other cats and kept away from the food bowl for a few days, which made her hepatic, we were able to pull her out of that, and she is fine now, per the vet, and adoptable.

We keep close tabs on her to be sure no other foster cat is bullying her away from the food. Contact Mona at : meowmail1@yahoo.com

Ozzy
Est DOB 8/2/07, DSH Tabby tuxedo, neutered male. Ozzy is the assertive one of this litter of 3. He loves attention and petting sessions. His tail was broken at one time and feels kind of kinky when you pet him ... but it doesn't hurt him, so don't let it scare you :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Ditto
Est DOB 11/8/06, DLH Black spayed female. Ditto lived with Tommy, Ozzy & Lucy. All 4 kitties are homeless like their former owners. Things are tough all over; but don't tell them ... they all 4 have wonderful attitudes & are happy to just have a temporary home with food, water, clean litterbox and a few toys ! It doesn't take much to make a cat happy :) Contact Sandy at : SandyGmeow@aol.com

Cleo
DOB appx Nov. 2006. DLH shaded blue Persian spayed female. Cleo has the classic turquoise eyes and black eye liner. That is why her full name is Cleopatra. She is a beautiful example of the shaded blue persian. She is also a very pampered kitty like her name sake. Cleo is front declawed and does not mind to be brushed. She lets you know when she is done. She likes to sleep nest to your pillow and night and purrs herself to sleep. Occasionally she will snore a bit. She has the usual watery eyes and sneezes once and while but is fine. Even thought she is front declawed, she has great litter box habits. Hurry, because I am getting attached! Pudge
DOB appx May 2006. DLH white angora mix spayed female. Pudge's family lost their home from flooding and had to move into temporary housing until FEMA can help. Pudge is a little princess. She has bright blue eyes and silky fur. Nothing phases her much. She will waltz right in and become the queen bee of the house. She is very affectionate and will sit on your lap when SHE feels like it. She would get along well with younger kittens perhaps because she wants to have your undivided attention. She has not been exposed to dogs or children. Contact Lynn at : blUemoonwolf@mac.com
